Routes and GPS

This site is making me really want a GPS so I don't have to keep entering new routes and variations manually.

Yeah, I don't have a GPS device. I do ride a pretty regular path and don't deviate much from it so I haven't jumped to buy a GPS device yet.

All you really need is something to record your tracks and not necessarily a $400-500 Garmin. You can pick up a GPS recorder for around $60 and these can be small enough to fit in a pocket. Make sure it has a SiRF star III chip though.

Good tip, I din't know you could get them that cheap. Though the garmin with an SRM is definitely on the wish list for when I finish residency.

Hey guys,
how would I enter that data into here after recording it with, lets say, the new iphone?
I hate sitting at my computer clicking through the maps although that data could have been selected during its generation, i.e. while riding.

so who's going to make the first bar/stem mount for the iphone?

if only my experience with cingular wasn't so inferior to verizon....
