Kind of weak - the beam is *VERY* focused so even if you shine it a good 10-15 feet down the road, it only lights up a circle about 1 foot in diameter. However, this is usually fairly sufficient. It IS highly visible though (for cars), and has really good side projection as well so traffic from your sides can see you clearly. Not the best but a good deal with the Super Flash read light.
