When I bought my Jamis I knew that I would want to make some modifications and additions to it. Now I feel I'm almost done and I'm really happy -- even more so than when I first got the bike. Here's a list of what I've done so far:

- Added my SPD is the platform cage - Chopped down my flat handl…

Fixed creak. Now chain broke.

fixed the creak my bike had mostly by removing, cleaning and reattaching my pedals. Had a couple nice bike rides that area routable. Then while on my way home the damned chain snapped! At least the rest of the way was down hill and I was close enough to coast home.

Creaky Crank

Oh yeah my crank developed a creak yesterday and it got worse today. I'll have to try and figure out the source of it. Parktools has a good tutorial on. I'm hoping it's an easy fixe

No way to route it so I can't add it as a ride. But it was 12.7 miles with a whopping avg speed of 7.7mph. Yeah typical slow …

About  The Fuel Average is meaningless as I don't own a car. My bike is my main form of transportation and I like -- no love it that way! If I need a car I use ZipCar or rent. Otherwise, it's just me and two peddles and sometimes BART or other transit; however, MUNI I try to avoid.
