I bought this new in 1989, or may have been late 1988, not sure. The thing I love about this bike is that it has a full compliment of braze-ons for fenders, front & rear racks, and of course bottles. Try to find that on a mountain bike these days.
I rode it on off-road trails only a few times, and it was a blast. Mostly though I set it up with fenders & street tires for city riding. However, after lots of hours doing that, I finally decided it's good for neither short trips nor longer commutes. The stretched-over riding position is just not fun after 30 minutes. If you use it to run errands, you have to watch your pants legs if you want to avoid getting chain grease on them.
